Makes Durga Puja special for the destitute and homeless grannies
Press Release/Kolkata: Kutchina Foundation today celebrated the awakening of Durga with the old, destitute and homeless grannies who dwell around the lake sarovar area to make this Durga Puja a special remembrance for all.Smt. Chandrima Bhattacharya, Minister of State, Health and Family Welfare and E-governance, Govt of West Bengal, Actor Pallavi Chatterjee and Mr. Namit Bajoria, Director, Kutchina and Honourable consulate of the Republic of Macedonia in Kolkata graced the occasion with their presence and along with Kutchina Krittika and other woman dignitaries, they gave away clothes, gifts and food to these grannies as homage to Devi Durga! The event was held in front of the memorial built in the remembrance of unfortunate victims of AMRI hospital fire. These grannies were delighted with this unexpected gesture of the Kutchina Foundation and wished best for everyone.Kutchina Foundation in their continuous quest to empower women will be working towards a permanent rehabilitation of these grannies by seeking opportunities in the various state run government schemes.
