Sting newz Service: The inherent linguistic and cultural bonding between Bengalees of Bangladesh and West Bengal of India has been revisited and reinforced in an colourful event on 14th Nov, 2017 at Satyajit Ray Auditorium(ICCR), Ho Chi Minh Sarani , Kolkata organized by FARUQUE AHAMED, noted social activist and Editor of Udar Akash, a noted multidimentional Journal. The event was inaugurated by eminent Bengali singer KABIR SUMAN and Kalyani Kazi, daughter in law of immortal poet KAZI NAZRUL ISLAM. Udar Akash conferred prestigious GOUR KISHORE GHOSH Smriti Award on Kabir Suman . Udar Akash also conferred awards on 80 eminent persons of various domains in Bangladesh and West Bengal for their contribution to society. A few names are writer of Bangaladesh Syed Mazarul Parvez and Abdur Rakib, Professor Prakash Chandra Pattanaik, Professor Goutam Paul, journalist Sahana Nag Chowdhary, Subrata Nag Chowdhury, Jantay Dey, Dr Amina Khatun, Dr. Pinaki Chattopadhyay and other guests. Kabir Suman and all the speakers revisited the course of friendship between Bangladesh and West Bengal since pre independent era and appreciated Faruque for his great endeavour. The event was Illuminated with multistate Dances, reciation of Bengali poems and different types of songs, including Nazrul and Rabindra Sangit. The event was grand success with huge spontaneous participation of people from two countries.
